Oryza sativa starch is a high-polymeric carbohydrate material derived from the peeled seeds of the rice, oryza sativa l., poaceae. Due to their excellent absorption qualities, starches are frequently used as natural talc substitutes. Oryza sativa starch is used as an absorbent, binding agent, viscosity controlling and bulking agent in cosmetics and personal care products. It is a fine powder with excellent absorption properties.
What is ORYZA SATIVA STARCH used for?
Oryza sativa starch is used in cosmetics as an absorbent, binding agent, viscosity controlling and bulking agent. It is used at a concentration of 1-97% in products like Bath oils, tablets, and salts, eye shadow, fragrance powders, mascara, hair conditioners, etc.
- Skin care: It has a soft, mattifying effect on the skin and may also help lessen the visibility of wrinkles, fine lines, and blemishes. It is a translucent, ultra-silky powder that absorbs oil, lessens shine, and conceals pores without drying out your skin. Skin texture and moisture levels noticeably improve when rice starch is added to skincare products because it offers a long-lasting matte finish. Particularly irritated skin is soothed. Talc, which is known to draw moisture from the skin and thereby dehydrate it, is best replaced by rice starch. It makes it possible to create "talk-free" products
- Hair care: It is a great ingredient for a dry shampoo which not only absorbs oil from the hair but also adds volume and is simple to brush out. It absorbs extra sebum for hair that is more beautiful
