Trends - Novel Color Dispersions in Silicones

SpecialChem / Nick Morante – Oct 4, 2007

I usually don't talk about color dispersions supplied by a specific supplier or manufacturer but I was presented with some information that I found quite interesting and something that could possibly be of significant value to those of us in the cosmetics and personal care industry. In fact, I don't endorse any specific vendors or suppliers unless they have something truly unique to offer our industry. As a color expert, I was asked to respond to a question sent to The Society of Cosmetic Chemist's "Ask The Expert" column which is on their website. The question was about dispersing colorants for the cosmetics industry and I responded with all the appropriate information currently available to the industry today. Shortly thereafter one of the executives of the company contacted me directly, for which I had no problem responding in person to some additional questions they had. I was particularly pleased to do this. They work only with color dispersions in silicones - just silicones and nothing else.
