In the US alone, total sales of bath and shower products were valued at $4.5 billion, including sub-sectors of bar soap, bath additives, body washes and shower gels. The global numbers, as of 2006 for bath and shower were $23.5 billion. Skin care, encompassing facial care, firming and anti-cellulite care, as well as hand care, reached $60 billion. The hand care sub-sector held strong at close to $1.8 billion, and was forecast to grow to more than $2 billion in 2011.
