Matthew Malin and Andrew Goetz are two New York skin care gurus with an apothecary style. Together they created their unisex skin care line, MALIN+GOETZ two years ago in their Chelsea neighborhood. Matthew, with a background in cosmetics and personal care, was a buyer at Barney's who had also developed beauty products at Prada and Helmut Lang and oversaw global distribution at Kiehl's. He brought the beauty and fashion component to the equation. Andrew Goetz has a marketing and graphic design background, having worked in marketing at the modern furniture company, Vitra. Recognizing a void in the marketplace, they created a brand that answered skin care needs authentically with a modern, forward, neighborhood approach, evident in their Chelsea shop.
After 13 years together, the duo has melded their skills to create a full regimen that addresses face, body, and hair. Their Balancing Systems work with the skin's sensitivities, addressing irritations and allergies that may be the result of harsh ingredients and environmental stress.
