Lanolin Alcohol. Acts as a water-in-oil and auxiliary oil-in-water emulsifier, emollient and conditioning agent. It is the extracted, unsaponifiable fraction of wool grease. It is a mixture of alcohols comprising cholesterol, lanosterol, agnosterol and their dihydro derivatives plus straight and branched chain aliphatic alcohols. Used in protecting baby cream, nourishing and moisturizing cream, cleansing and cold cream, sunscreen cream and lotion, eye and lip product.
