A polyester derived from reaction of dimer acid, dimer alcohol and Octyl dodecanol. Used in hair care products such as moisturizing hair creams, conditioners for badly damaged hair, shampoos, skin care products such as liquid soaps, body washes, lotions, creams, moisturizers, color care products such as lip stick, foundations, sun care products such as sprayable creams and lotion sunscreens, balms. Acts as an emollient, film former and good barrier. Posesses lubricating and conditioning properties.
