Acts as a pearlescent pigment. It consists of thin platelets of the natural mineral mica coated with a thin layer of titanium dioxide. It has rutile fine satin silver white color. The interaction, refraction and multiple reflections create manifold color effects from a soft and silky to high glossy appearance & provides as much as natural pearl appearance. The semi-transparent properties allow the combination with colorants e.g. organic or inorganic pigments and dyestuff to deliver luster. It is widely used in cosmetics - nail polish, eye shadow, lipstick, etc. owing to innocuous property and colorful effect.
