Dimethicone. BELSIL® DM 5 by Wacker acts as a styling agent. It is a linear, non-reactive, unmodified polydimethylsiloxane. Exhibits low surface tension and a high spreading coefficient. Imparts hydrophobic, protective but breathable barrier to the skin.

It reduces stickiness & whitening and imparts a soft emolliency to the skin.
Due to their flexible polymer backbone, dimethicones have high permeability to gases which allows respiration of the skin.
BELSIL® DM 5 is used in antiperspirants/ deodorants, color cosmetics, hair care, shaving, skin care and sunscreen.
It is designed for use in eye- & lip-make-up and foundations.
