Dimethicone. BELSIL® DM 1000 by Wacker is a linear, non-reactive and unmodified polydimethylsiloxane. Acts as an emollient. Exhibits low surface tension and a high spreading coefficient. Imparts a hydrophobic, protective and breathable barrier to the skin. Due to their flexible polymer backbone, dimethicones have high permeability to gases (water vapor & oxygen), which allows respiration of the skin. It minimizes stickiness and whitening. BELSIL® DM 1000 meets REACH, ECL, ENCS, AICS, IECSC, DSL, PICCS, TSCA and TCSI regulations. Used in antiperspirants/ deodorants, color cosmetics, shaving, skin care and sunscreens.
