Ethyl Ascorbic Acid. C7. Ethyl Ascorbic Acid by Vital-Chem is a skin whitening/lightening, sunscreen, antioxidant, and anti-aging agent. Ethyl ascorbic acid is a lipophilic derivative of vitamin C, which is water-soluble. It easily penetrates the stratum corneum's dermal layer, enters the skin, and is easily dissolved by enzymes, which plays a part in vitamin C's action. Blocks melanin synthesis, boosts collagen production, and improves skin suppleness. Gels, serums, lotions, creams, and skin lightening, anti-aging, and other skin care products include ethyl ascorbic acid.
