Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate. TroyCare™ FP99 by Troy Corporation (Arxada) is a synthetic preservative, although its activity derives from iodine, which is sourced naturally from seaweed and sea salt. It possesses wide-spectrum antifungal property. It is excellent for use in aqueous and solvent-based personal care systems to control the growth of fungal organisms. It is intended primarily for pigmented systems. It inhibits yeast and mold growth in aqueous formulations at low use levels. TroyCare™ FP99 is used in rinse-off products, leave-on products and wipes.
