Cetearyl Alcohol. Cetearyl Alcohol NF by The Herbarie acts as a stabilizer and thickening agent. It is derived from coconut oil and is a blend of cetyl and stearyl fatty alcohol. It imparts an emollient feel to the skin. Moreover, it is used in water-in-oil emulsions, oil-in-water emulsions and anhydrous formulations. It also serves as a co-emulsifier in formulations, when used with the lactylates. Cetearyl Alcohol NF finds application in formulating creams, lotions, ointments, body butters and salt scrubs.
