Guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride. SUNCOS-CG 520D by Sunita Hydrocolloids acts as a conditioning, foaming and softening agent. It is a galactomannan polysaccharide, chemically modified derivative of guar gum, obtained from the ground endosperm of legume cyamopsis tetragonolobus. It is cationic in nature and manufactured by reacting guar gum with a quaternary ammonium compound to obtain guar hydroxypropyl trimonium chloride. It provides transparency and foam stability. SUNCOS-CG 520D finds application in formulating hair care products.
