MultiSal™ Sebum Control

Sodium Starch Octenylsuccinate, Acrylate Methacrylate Copolymer, Hydrolyzed Silica, Zinc Sulfate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) Fruit. Acts as an anti-acne active. It is used to absorb excess sebum and leaves a pleasing matte finish on the skin. The technology contains functional sub-micron spheres that absorb excess sebum and oily waste materials. This system works through a combination of instant mechanical absorption of excess sebum and the modulation of the enzyme that is responsible for future enzyme secretion. The shell of the microsphere breaks down with rubbing, and has the capacity to instantly absorb excess sebum in situ. Additional oil is absorbed and encapsulated by submicron spheres. Zinc Sulfate has been shown to reduce sebum production as well as block the conversion of 5-Alpha Reductase Enzymes. Used in anti-aging lotion, acne treatment formulations, powder formulations for make-up, wipes and toners.
