JADEWIN HMS (HOMOSALATE) by Qingdao Jade New Material Technology acts as a sunscreen agent. It is a 3,3,5-trimethylcyclohexyl salicylate and provides UV-B absorption. Moreover, it is an effective solvent for many solid filters like JADEWIN 1789 (AVOBENOZNE) and JADEWIN UVT150 (Ethylhexyl Triazone). It is soluble in oil, miscible with ethanol & lipids but does not mix with water. JADEWIN HMS (HOMOSALATE) finds application in formulating sun-care and cosmetic preparations.
