Macare® G-17C

Glycerth-17-cocoate. Macare® G-17C acts as an emollient, thickening, foam boosting, stabilizing and solubilizing agent. It is a 17-mole ethoxylated fatty acid monoglyceride based on the renewable vegetable components found in coconut oil. It is non-irritating, readily biodegradable and eco-friendly surfactant. As a non-ionic surfactant, it is compatible with anionic, amphoteric, cationic and non-ionic surfactants, is not affected by hard water and is stable in aqueous solutions in the pH range of 4-8. Exhibits superior thickening properties in both AES and non-AES formulations. It effectively emulsifies o/w systems such as silicones and paraffinic oils with an HLB of 11. Used in wide range of products including shampoos, mild skin cleaners, soaps and shave gels, skin lotions and bath oils.
