Trapa Japonica Fruit Extract. Water Chestnut Extract-NS by The Garden of Naturalsolution acts as an anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant agent. It is an extract of the fruit of trapa japonica. It contains polyphenolics like eugeniin, TGG and trapain as active compounds. It increases radical scavenging activity and decreases intracellular H₂O₂ induced accumulation of reactive oxygen species. Moreover, it shows anti-inflammatory effect by inhibiting LPS-induced NO production and suppresses mRNA & protein expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase. Water Chestnut Extract-NS finds application in formulating cosmetic products.
