Selaginella Tamariscina Extract. Spikemoss Extract-NS by The Garden of Naturalsolution acts as an anti-inflammatory, anti-aging, anti-bacterial and anti-allergic agent. It is an extract of the whole herb, selaginella tamariscina. It contains amentoflavone, apogenin, arbutin and sumaflavone as active compounds. It reduces the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, interleukin 1 and TNF-a. Amentoflavone and sumaflavone blocks the expression of MMP-1, the enzyme known for collagen degradation, in response to UV degradation.
