Mirel® MD11-1416

3-Hydroxybutyrate/4-Hydroxybutyrate Copolymer. Mirel® MD11-1416 by Yield10 Bioscience acts as an exfoliating agent. It is a fully biodegradable alternative to ground polyethylene microbeads. It is made from sugar. The particles are irregularly shaped and mildly abrasive without any harsh feel. It is acid & base resistant, chemical resistant and resistant to discoloration as well. Mirel® MD11-1416 can be used in facial scrubs, exfoliating body products, men's grooming products, hair care, exfoliating foot care products, etc. It is 94-100% bio-based product. It has good shelf life in aqueous formulations without microbial activity.
