Dimethicone (100%). Dimethicone 500 by MakingCosmetics acts as an emollient and conditioning agent. It is a 100% active linear silicone polymer (polydimethylsiloxane) which is usually viscous and more oil-like. It is made from dimethyldichlorosilane which is produced by powdered silicon (silicone dioxide) and methyl chloride. It shows chemical stability, hence suitable for anti-foams and color cosmetics. It takes out the whitening of creams & lotions when rubbed into the skin. It imparts a non-greasy and dry feel. It improves wet & dry combing and offers softness & silky gloss in hair care products. Dimethicone 500 makes colors more dispersible (solvent). Recommended for shampoos & conditioners, color cosmetics (lipsticks, lip balms, makeup) and skin protectant products. It is GMO- & preservative-free and vegan certified. The shelf life is 24 months.
