SilSense® DW-18 silicone

Dimethicone PEG-7 isostearate. SilSense® DW-18 silicone by Lubrizol acts as an emollient, emulsifier, surfactant, conditioner and slip agent. It is a water-dispersible liquid wax ester created by the reaction of isostearic acid with an alkyloxy-modified polydimethylsiloxane. It does not contribute to greasiness or build-up. It improves spreading and coverage of products. It is a co-emulsifier for oil-in-water systems. SilSense® DW-18 silicone is used in shampoos and shaving products.
