Carbopol® 5984 polymer

Carbomer. Carbopol® 5984 polymer by Lubrizol acts as a thickener, rheology modifier and suspending agent. It is a cross-linked polyacrylic acid polymer that is polymerized in a toxicologically-preferred cosolvent system. It provides excellent freeze-thaw and high temperature stability at low concentrations in oil-in-water emulsions. It exhibits short flow properties, light skin feel and creamy sensory profile. Carbopol® 5984 polymer is used in body lotions/creams/gels and eye-, facial-, hand-, foot- & sun care products.
