ZNO XZ-11S3

Zinc Oxide (95.0-99.0 %) and Triethoxycaprylylsilane (1.0-5.0 %). ZNO XZ-11S3 by Kobo acts as an UV filter and dispersant. Nano zinc oxide surface is treated with Kobo's 11S (Triethoxy Caprylylsilane) treatment. This treatment forms a uniform, stable silane coating that greatly improves the dispersibility of powders in silicones such as cyclomethicones. Due to the caprylyl groups, 11S treated powders are easy to disperse in esters, hydrocarbons and silicones. Moreover, dispersion enhances properties like protection and transparency. It has zero hydrogen potential and has no residual methanol. ZNO XZ-11S3 finds application in formulating skin- and sun care product.
