Acts as an aesthetic enhancer. It is used for the decoration of formulas and the delivery of lipophilic active ingredients - jojoba oil. Made of agar-agar, it is soft enough for being crushed on the skin without leaving any residue. To this agar matrix a copolymer, cationic and amphiphilic is added, which is able to trap active material and colorants within the sphere. The complex is too large to move through the agar matrix and the bonded molecule is thus trapped within the soft bead. It is stable in pH 2-10, in surfactants, at temperatures up to 60°C. Used in transparent gel, shower gel, shampoo, emulsion, tooth paste and soap.
