RED 33AL-I5

Red 33 Lake (93-97%) (And) Isopropyl Titanium Triisostearate (3-7%). RED 33AL-I5 by Kobo Products is a surfacre treated pigment. It forms a uniform coating of lipophilic isostearate groups. The titanate treated pigment can be easily wetted by and dispersed in organic vehicles, like esters, mineral oils or petrolatum due to presence of abundant fatty ester groups on the treated surface. It thus reduces oil absorption and increases pigment loading. RED 33AL-I5 has an excellent affinity to the skin and hence used to develop dry (non-greasy) feeling cream to powder formulas, one-step make-ups and to create new types of liquid foundations, cheek color, eye-shadow and sunscreen formulations.
