Red 33 Lake (97-99.5%) (and) Perfluorooctyl Triethoxysilane (1-2%). RED 33AL-FS105 by Kobo Products is a surface treated pigment. The fluoro silane (FS) treatment enhances hydrophobic and lipophobic properties due to the low surface tension typically associated with fluorinated materials. The treatment facilitates excellent spreading and adhesion to the skin while simultaneously preventing the agglomeration of pigments into fine lines and wrinkles. It reduces oil residual on the skin and the darkening shift of color is less noticeable in comparison to other treatments. RED 33AL-FS105 is recommended for use in long wear liquid foundation, dry water foundation and pressed powder foundation. It also provides improved water resistance and long wear in mascaras.
