Glycine Soja (Soybean) Protein. Acts as a conditioning and smoothing active. It is a solution of non-hydrolyzed soy proteins in their original molecular size. Its solubility and stability are achieved by complexation with the anion lauryl ether sulfate. It is a vehicle for introducing in personal hygiene formulations non-hydrolyzed, long chain soy proteins, which are insoluble in the folded native form. Shows excellent protection against surfactant irritancy, confers smoothness to the skin and prevent swelling of the hair strand during detersion. Provides superior conditioning effect on damaged hair during cleansing if used in combination with anionic surfactants especially with sodium laureth sulfate and also in combination with amphoteric and non-ionic surfactants. Used in skin and hair cleansing formulations.
