Vida-Care C VA37E

Copolymer of vinylpyrrolidone (VP) and vinyl acetate (VA). Vida-Care C VA37E by KCC Basildon (Momentive) acts as a film former and fixative. It is a linear, random and non-ionic copolymer and compatible with wide range of formulation ingredients. It forms hydrophilic, transparent, flexible, thermoplastic and oxygen-permeable films which adhere to many different surfaces. It is soluble in alcohols, esters, and ketones and insoluble in ethers and aliphatic hydrocarbons. It comprises of 30% VP. Hence, it has increased water solubility capacity and adhesive strength. Low viscosity of Vida-Care C VA37E makes it suitable for sprayable applications. It finds application in formulating aerosol, aqueous and anhydrous creams, putties, gels, mousse, powders, face-masks – both rinse-off & peel-off, pigmented products to improve adhesion to skin & hair and any application where a smooth, clear, oxygen permeable and water-removable film is required. Vida-Care C VA37E complies with Cosmetics Regulation [EC] No1223/2009.
