2-Butyl Octanol. Jarcol™ I-12 by aurorium acts as an emollient & solvent. It is a base alcohol for esterification, ethoxylation, propoxylation, and other reaction chemistries. Its extremely low melting point makes it much easier to work with than traditional C12-C14 alcohols. Jarcol™ I-12 is recommended for lotions, creams, ointments, body butters and scrubs.
