Glyceryl Stearate (and) PEG-100 Stearate. Lexemul® 561 by Inolex acts as a primary emulsifier. It is a non-ionic, modified self-emulsifying glyceryl monostearate also used to thicken emulsions. The viscosity of emulsions made can be varied through the addition of bodying agents, such as glyceryl stearate and fatty alcohols. It can form stable emulsions in the presence of high levels of electrolyte and in combination with other emulsifiers of any ionic type. Lexemul® 561 used to formulate o/w cream or lotion systems.
