Natural betaine. GENENCARE® OSMS BA by IFF’s Health & Biosciences is a moisturizer, amino acid derivative, extracted from sugar beets. Sustainably sourced from upcycled sugar production side stream, this highly purified betaine is an osmo-protectant which helps protect proteins and regulate cell water balance by increasing organic osmolytes transporters. In skin care, it helps to strengthen the skin barrier (tight junctions) and provides long term skin moisturization and sensory benefits. In hair care, it contributes to condition and strengthen hair, and to control frizz. It also provides scalp protection. Water soluble, GENENCARE® OSMS BA is easy to formulate in all types of applications such as skin care, hair care, toiletries, and make-up.
