Butyl Stearate. HALLSTAR® BST-COS by Hallstar is a pigment wetter & dispersant, resin plasticizer, solubilizing- & superfatting agent. It is a low viscosity, color & odor emollient ester prepared from vegetable-derived triple-pressed quality stearic acid as well as from n-butanol. This biodegradable ingredient imparts a light smooth feel to skin. HALLSTAR® BST-COS is used in antiperspirants, bar soaps, bath additives, deodorants, depilatories, eye area & facial color cosmetics, facial skin care and hair colorants. Also, used in hair conditioners, hand & body- & lip care, liquid hand soaps, nail care, shaving products, shower gels/body washes as well as in styling aids.
