It is clear, fatty and non-drying oil, obtained by cold-pressing ripe stone fruits of olea europaea. Its main ingredient is oleic acid, sets to a soft mass at 0-10°C and shows sensory defects. Lampante virgin olive oil finds application in formulating sunscreens.
