Gustav Heess Carnauba wax

Cera Carnauba. Carnauba wax by Gustav Heess acts as a consistency factor. It is obtained by scraping or cooking leaves of carnauba palm (copernicia cerifera mart.). It offers high hardening capacity and is extremely difficult to saponify. It undergoes further processing (refining, brightening, bleaching, partial saponification, addition of synthetic waxes and acidification) and is used as bleached carnauba wax. Carnauba wax finds application in formulating self-glazing emulsions and cosmetic products like lipsticks.
