The flower-bearing capitula, 1 to 1.5 cm in diameter of Dog Daisy has anti- inflammatory, smoothing, natural brightening properties. It helps relieve itching in skin infections (cracks, scratches or insect bites). It is also used as analgesic in mouth infections and eye irritation. In cosmetology, Dog Daisy can be found in shampoos for lightening hair color. The essential oil of Dog Daisy is anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. It is used in perfumery and soap making.
