Dimethicone/Mercaptopropyl Methicone Copolymer (and) Phenyl Trimethicone (and) Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil. Gransil NYKT-P is a mercapto containing dimethicone copolymer used to improve the adhesion to fiber surfaces compared to conventional silicone fluids. The mercaptopropyl groups are randomly pendant along the silicone backbone and includes phenyl trimethicone for added shine. The product is co-formulated with 2% tea tree oil to assist with the odor profile of this sulfur containing polymer as a natural fragrance additive. It is vegan & 100% formaldehyde-free. Gransil NYKT-P uses an activated silicone polymer that contains a large percentage of sulfur in the form of a thiol to form flexible bonds inside the hair. This action improves the internal architecture and straightens hair without damage. Used in shampoos, smoothing treatments, heat protection serums, rinse–off conditioners and leave-on conditioners.
