Gransil GAM

Caprylyl Methicone (and) Polysilicone-11. Gransil GAM by Grant Industries is a volatile elastomer dispersion in caprylyl methicone. It provides enhanced aesthetics to formulations and acts as a co-solubilizer between silicones and organics. Caprylyl methicone is a C8-alkyl modified siloxane fluid consisting of a long hydrocarbon radical. Allows for increased compatibility with organic material, delivers excellent non-tacky, non-oily, smooth characteristics, stable delivery vehicle for active materials. Its elastomer network offers sebum absorption and control, transformation into matte appearance with powdery after feel. It can be formulated into oil-in-water emulsions, water-in-oil emulsions, and anhydrous systems. Gransil GAM is used in skin care, color cosmetic, sun care, and hair care formulations.
