EE 368

PEG Cocoate. EE 368 by eChem acts as a surfactant and emulsifier. The polyethylene glycol comprises the hydrophilic part of the surfactant and the fatty acid the lipophilic part. It is manufactured by reacting a polyethylene glycol with lauric acid (coconut oil). It is water soluble. Offers good wetting and dispersion properties along with low foaming tendency. It is hydrolyzed under hot alkaline conditions. It is an alternative to alcohol ethoxylate. EE 368 is recommended for cosmetic creams and toiletry emulsions.
