DOWSIL™ TI-7012 SOLID RESIN

Trimethylsiloxysilicate. DOWSIL™ TI-7012 SOLID RESIN by Dow is 100% trimethylsiloxysilicate resin. It acts as a film former. It provides non-occlusive, long-lasting and permeable films. In sunscreens, it can enhance the SPF potential and wash-off resistance. It offers sebum resistance, non-tacky feel on drying and formulation flexibility. It is solvent-free and is compatible with silicones & organic carriers. It increases the viscosity of the final blend, improving the stability of emulsions and sticks. It improves the frictional resistance of the formulation, which is beneficial to protective & barrier creams and sprays. DOWSIL™ TI-7012 SOLID RESIN finds application in formulating sunscreen creams & lotions and insect repellant products.
