Acetylphytosphingosine. DS-WHITEKLE by Solus Advanced Materials acts as an anti-aging and whitening agent. It is a short chain ceramide (C2-phytoceramide), produced from yeast fermentation. It stimulates collagen synthesis, prevents UV-induced decrease in type I pro-collagen and induces MMP-1. Moreover, it inhibits melanogenesis, MITF and tyrosinase activity. DS-WHITEKLE is used to formulate cosmetic products.
