Tetraacetylphytosphingosine. DS-TAPS by Solus Advanced Materials acts as an anti-inflammatory and anti-angiogenesis agent. It is an acetylated derivative of phytosphingosine, derived from yeast. It prevents dark circles and strengthens the barrier function of dry and aging skin. It stimulates the biosynthesis of ceramide 1 & 2. It has good cosmetic touch, low melting point, high solubility and good compatibility in formulations. DS-TAPS is used to formulate cosmetic products. It has a shelf life of 2 years.
