Polysorgen 80 (P) by Dai-ichi is an excellent emulsifier and solubilizer for various hydrophobic substances. It is based on polyethanoxy ether of sorbitan ester. It possesses extremely low systemic toxicity with no adverse dermatological effects in topical applications. It is suitable for fat-soluble vitamins, essential oils, perfumes and flavors. It forms clear solutions of vitamins A, D and E in water. It can be used in combination with other low HLB hydrophobic emulsifiers for a wide range of oil-in-water and water-in-oil systems. Polysorgen 80 (P) ?is used in liquid oral formulations as well as color cosmetics, and skin-, sun- and baby care products.
