Sorbitan Caprylate. Velsan® SC by Clariant is an EO-free, cold processable, preservation booster, moisturizing and co-emulsifying agent. It also acts as an emollient.

It is 100% natural, preservative-free multi-functional ingredient.
It is produced by esterification of sorbitan with caprylic acid.
It can help to increase the viscosity of a formulation.
It is a non-sensitizing, non-irritating antimicrobial auxiliary.
Velsan® SC is recommended for shower, liquid soaps, shampoos, wet wipes, conditioners, hair styling, creams, lotions, antiperspirans & deodorants, sun protection and color cosmetics.
