Eclipsogen® BP3

Benzophenone-3 (100%). Eclipsogen® BP3 by Clariant is an oil-soluble, highly photostable, UV-B filter. It provides broadband UV absorption with activity in UV-A II region.

It improves the stability of fragrances & active ingredients against oxidation and can be used as a light stabilizer in cosmetic products.
It protects cosmetic formulations from damage due to UV exposure.
It should be completely solubilized in formulations, which can be easily achieved using polar emollients or other UV filters, such as Velsan® P8-3 and Velsan® D8P-3.
Eclipsogen® BP3 is recommended for formulating creams, lotions, color cosmetics and sun protection products.
It has a shelf life of 2 years.
