HYDAMER™ CMF

Chitosan Glycolate (>1 - 5%) and Aqua (>95 – 100%). HYDAMER™ CMF by Chitinor (Seagarden) acts as a film forming agent. It is a high molecular biopolymer, derived from marine shrimp shells through partial deacetylation of chitin. Moreover, it is an aqueous solution of 1% chitosan in 0.4% glycolic solution. It is not compatible with anionic compounds and limited with systems which have to be neutralized with alkali. It is antioxidant-free, preserved with 0.35% phenonip XB and contains water as solvent. HYDAMER™ CMF finds application in formulating skin care products.
