Optigel® CL

Magnesium Aluminum Silicate (Bentonite can also be used as an alternative INCI name). Optigel® CL by Eckart acts as a gelling agent for water phases in cosmetic applications. It is also used as a thixotropic thickener with excellent anti-settling and stabilizing properties.
  • It is an activated smectite and ultra-white product with high pH and temperature stability.
  • It is suitable for formulating personal care products such as cream & lotion, sunscreen, shower gel, shampoo and face mask.
  • It is also used in color cosmetics such as liquid make-up, foundation, blush and eye product.
  • It is compatible with most emulsions, pigments or extenders.
  • Optigel® CL is Ecocert and COSMOS approved.
  • It is non-irradiated and may contain variable amounts of microorganisms.
  • It has a shelf life of 24 months.
