Cellulose. Exilva by Borregaard is a multifunctional additive for cosmetic systems. It helps reduce wrinkles and improves the sensoric characteristics of oil-in-water creams. Due to its pseudoplastic nature, it gives a highly positive effect on the ability to spray thick formulations and its fast viscosity recovery improves non-dripping performance. Exilva is cold processable and easy to pump. It makes the skin smooth, non-greasy and improves skin moisture. It is highly tolerant to salt (10%) and ethanol (50%). Exilva is suitable for skin-, sun-, hair care applications as well as decorative cosmetics.
