Glyceryl Stearate. Bergabest GS 40 acts as an emollient, emulsifying / emulsion stabilizing agent. It is made by reacting glycerin with stearic acid. Glyceryl Stearate acts as a lubricant on the skin's surface, which gives the skin a soft and smooth appearance. Helps to form emulsions by reducing the surface tension of the substances to be emulsified. Bergabest GS 40 is widely used in hair care, facial care, body care, eye and lip care as well as sun care products and decorative cosmetics.
