Ethylhexylglycerin. BELGUARD EHG by Belchem Industries acts as an excellent moisturizer and improves skin feel for cosmetics formulations. It is 2-ethylhexylglycerin and acts as an emollient and mild humectant. This grade is suitable preservative booster in personal care formulations. It is effective against odor causing gram positive bacteria. It also helps to reduce the surface tension between the various liquids and oils in beauty products. The product is a multifunctional cosmetic additive with excellent skin care properties. BELGUARD EHG has been used in the applications of wet wipes, deodorants and leave-on formulations. Its shelf life is 2 years from the date of manufacturing.
