Butylene Glycol and Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate. liquagard™ preservative by Ashland Specialty Chemical acts as a preservative. It is an extremely effective fungicide at low concentrations. It is a liquid preservative blend of the highest grade of pure iodopropynyl butylcarbamate in a solvent, butylene glycol. It can also be used in combination with other preservatives such as germall™ 115 preservative, germall™ II preservative, or the Optiphen™ preservative range to provide broad-spectrum preservation.
